Soldering and brazing is a different process that involve melting a lower-melting-point material between the work pieces to form a bond between them. The work pieces themselves are not melted in any way to form the bond.
Cutting – Plasma cutting is a process that is used to cut steel and other metals of different thicknesses using a plasma torch. The plasma is sufficiently hot to melt the metal being cut and moves sufficiently fast to blow molten metal away from the cut.
